Thank you
Here you will find information from those who are seeking, finding, or from those who have helped an Emissary.
The Emissaries thank you
Emissary 2, returned July 24 with the help of A:
Thank you A for finding me on July 18, and for your thoughtful and playful gift. I and the other emissaries enjoy looking at all the snapshots of British Columbia on the very fun keychain "viewmaster" camera. I have very fond memories of Oppenheimer Park, and of the snug driftwood play sculpture. Cheers, EM 2
Emissary 17, returned July 24 with the help of P:
I would like to thank P for finding me on July 16, on "[her] porch railing" in Kitsalano. After being teased by my fellow emissaries, I think looking like a cute "owl" is not such a bad thing especially considering I returned home so quickly. I share your gift Paulette, the ladybug good luck charm with everyone I meet. Best wishes your friend, Emissary 17
Emissary 19, returned July 24 with the help of A and T:
I warmly thank A and T for finding me on July 16 in Kuno Park in Steveston. Waiting at the Japanese stone lantern turned out to be a great place to potentially encounter others. I, had the time of my life meeting some curious characters at the gracious home of my finders. I am honoured to have received a badge from a distinguished firefighter of the Vancouver Fire Rescue Services. On behalf of all emissaries, I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to the exceptional A for her continued efforts in helping to see emissaries home. Your friend, EM 19
Emissary 11, returned July 24 with the help of C:
Thank you to C, for finding me on July 17 at the University of British Columbia, in the stacks of the Irving K. Barber library. It was my good fortune to have met C who is from China, who gave me a beautiful red tasseled mask charm to accompany me on my homeward journey. I wish her success in her chosen field of study. Thank you too for your humorous note, you are loved too! Xx, Em 11
Emissary 20, returned July 24 with the help of Anon:
Dear Anonymous finder, I would like to thank you for the beautiful gift of a small Canadian lapel pin and a Canadian printed bandana. I had fun being with you in Steveston. I wish you well on your next adventure! Best, EM 20
Emissary 7, returned July 27 with the help of Anon:
After a bit of a bumpy ride, I would like to thank my anonymous helpers. I know someone took the trouble to help me get to my destination. I also know someone at Canada Post took the time and care to wrap me up again and offer an apology for my rumpled state. Cheers, I made it home hurray! EM 7
Emissary 4, returned July 27 with the help of C:
Dear C, I would like to thank you for helping me at the Steveston Public Library on July 16, the same day I arrived there. Very kindly yours, Emissary 4
Emissary 22, returned August 27 with the help of C:
That was a great time surveying the scene while sitting on the top shelf of the Centre A Gallery library. I learned so much about the history of the place and the significant contributions made by the artists - so wonderful. Thank you C for your portrait of me, Curiosity on Mars is envious. Hugs, EM22
Emissary 3, returned August 19 with the help of T:
Thank you T for introducing me to the history of the Cumberland Museum. I especially liked the story of Mr. Albert "Ginger" Goodwin, what a curious and colourful fellow he was, a bold spirit for the people of Cumberland. It was very kind of you to send me home with his portrait on a card. I was very happy too to be in your company albeit for such a short visit. In your debt, EM 3
Emissary 18, returned September 13 with the help of C and kids:
Sitting in solitude and reflective meditation at the Japanese Cemetery (on Union Road), I thought about the long journey home and wondered how long it might take before I was befriended. I was delighted to connect to children from what could be seen as a sombre place. I would love to share more of my story, as you ask where I came from and why -- thank you for referring to me as"neat" and "very cool". I should wish to tell you more, but our orders are to remain silent until all emissaries return. Deeply thankful, Emissary 18
